For more than half a century, Stratton Street Methodist Church Community Centre has been at the heart of Park Village, offering vital services and unwavering support to thousands of residents from diverse cultures, faiths, and backgrounds.
The Centre is committed to tackling issues such as social isolation, loneliness, unemployment, poverty, education, and health & nutrition. With over 20 different activities, the Centre provides opportunities for children, teenagers, adults, families, and senior citizens to come together, connect, and thrive.
The Centre’s projects include:
πΆ a Stay and Play Programme providing a welcoming space for pre-schoolers and their parents/carers;
π½ a Tuesday Lunch Club offering people the opportunity to enjoy a nourishing 3-course meal prepared by a local chef for just Β£5;
β½ Youth Activities providing a safe place for young people to meet and have fun; and
π a Community Shop offering affordable essentials at near-wholesale prices
In 2020 the Centre’s work was recognised with the presentation of the prestigious Queens Award for Voluntary Services
